WHAT I DO
I’m a storyteller who loves editing. I cut trailers, commercials, PSAs, and mini-documentaries that emphasize story and characters.
ABOUT ME
I began video editing by making cheesy yearbook commercials in middle school as part of the school’s Yearbook Club. I loved taking crazy videos that only middle schoolers could think up and structure them into something watchable and fun.
In my adult life I’ve built a career as a freelance editor where storytelling is still an integral part of who I am. No matter what I’m editing, the story is at the forefront of each project I work on. I’m comfortable with short deadlines and thrive working both with a creative team and independently.
FUN FACTS
When I was younger I used to take a camcorder and film my favorite moments in animated movies and shows. I’d start and stop the recording over and over again to try and figure out how the scene was animated.
I enjoy teaching and working with kids. I worked as a martial arts instructor, summer camp director, and later as a substitute preschool teacher.
I edited a trailer for the documentary, The 369th: Together, We Rose, that helped secure a $10,000 grant for the project. You can find that trailer in the “Work” section of my website!
My favorite movie is Spirited Away, and Bloodborne is my favorite videogame. I can’t pick a favorite TV show so don’t make me, but Parks and Recreation and Midnight Mass would be pretty high up on my list.
My friends find it odd that I listen to movie scores in my free time, but now I have a whole library of awesome temp tracks always playing in my head.
